I am a medically (honorably) discharged veteran of the GWOT (Global War On Terror), Afghanistan. I’m not going to presume to speak for anyone but myself here, but I want you to know there’s at least one life-long Republican and combat veteran of America’s current wars who sees your possible future as President of the United States as odious and intolerable.
First of all, you have demonstrated your belief in the primacy of the powers of the State over individual liberty by demonstrating in support of the Draft during the Vietnam War era (http://www.buzzfeed.com/buzzfeedpolitics/exclusive-mitt-romney-student-protester). In spite of the fact that you were publicly advocating sending kids to War against their will, you managed to avoid the whole thing (http://2012.republican-candidates.org/Romney/Military.php). Nowadays, you make it very clear that you are open to the idea of starting a pre-emptive war with Iran (http://www.veteransnewsnow.com/2012/02/06/romney-wants-war-in-iran/). Some of us would call you a chicken-hawk and a warmonger, Mr. Romney.
You would be a disgrace to the high military office of Commander-In-Chief.Once again, you demonstrate your ignorance and/or indifference to the American founding ideals of individual Liberty when you support an individual mandate as former Governor of Massachusetts or even just that you’ve accepted the theory that government is somehow qualified and competent to monopolize American healthcare to begin with. Let’s not forget that if there had been no “RomneyCare” in Massachusetts, then there may very well have been no “ObamaCare” as we know it. Quite the accomplishment for your ‘conservative’ credentials, Mr. Romney. When you can find the time between rehearsals with your handlers who keep telling you to hammer that line about, “America is the hope of the earth,” please read The Declaration of Independence. That document may help you understand why your ideas about the role of government are closer to Benito Mussolini than George Washington, to Barack Obama than Thomas Jefferson. I have to believe that John Adams & James Madison would roll over in their graves if they knew that an ‘inside’ friend of international corporatist banking like you were a serious Presidential contender (http://www.opensecrets.org/pres12/contrib.php?id=N00000286).

“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.”-Thomas Jefferson, 1802
“History records that the money changers have used every form of abuse, intrigue, deceit, and violent means possible to maintain their control over governments by controlling money and it’s issuance.”-James Madison
“All the perplexities, confusion and distress in America arise, not from defects in their Constitution or Confederation, not from want of honor or virtue, so much as from the downright ignorance of the nature of coin, credit and circulation.”-John Adams
“If Congress has the right [it doesn't] to issue paper money [currency], it was given to them to be used by…[the government] and not to be delegated to individuals or corporations”-Andrew Jackson
“The money powers prey upon the nation in times of peace and conspire against it in times of adversity. It is more despotic than a monarchy, more insolent than autocracy, and more selfish than bureaucracy. It denounces as public enemies all who question its methods or throw light upon its crimes. I have two great enemies, the Southern Army in front of me and the bankers in the rear. Of the two, the one at my rear is my greatest foe.”-Abraham Lincoln
“It is well that the people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.” -Henry Ford
“Most Americans have no real understanding of the operation of the international money lenders. The accounts of the Federal Reserve System have never been audited. It operates outside the control of Congress and manipulates the credit of the United States”-Barry Goldwater
“A system of capitalism presumes sound money, not fiat money manipulated by a central bank. Capitalism cherishes voluntary contracts and interest rates that are determined by savings, not credit creation by a central bank.”
“It is no coincidence that the century of total war coincided with the century of central banking.””-Ron Paul

Don’t take this the wrong way, Mr. Romney; it’s not that I actually think you could be elected President. Without the Ron Paul supporters voting for you? LMFAO! Sorry, but if Ron Paul isn’t the Republican nominee, then I’m afraid we’re going to have to endure another grueling 4 years of the Obama regime. Mr. Romney, you will be the John Kerry Presidential candidate of the Republican Party. You are a slippery and wishy-washy politician who has the slick ability to be on every side of every issue when it suits your quest for political power best. Just as Americans saw through John Kerry, the voters once again see through your spineless flip-flops and being for everything before you were against it, then for it again, or however the wind is blowing today. I’ve not met even one of your supporters who is actually excited about your candidacy and any particular policy positions you champion. You are set for election failure against a well-organized incumbent billion-dollar Obama campaign war machine. Too bad you don’t have a huge fired-up base of grassroots supporters like Ron Paul, but I guess the Republican Party is satisfied with losing elections until they give us a candidate who represents a real serious choice for America’s real serious problems. You, Mr. Romney, are a joke that isn’t even funny.ABO (Anybody But Obama) my ass! Settle for Romney as a Republican wanting the alternative to Obama? It’s like asking me to choose between voting for J. Stalin or A. Hitler; there is no lesser of two evils. I have my suspicions that Mr. Romney might even use the newly acquired political capital of winning the office of the President over a Democrat incumbent to actually expand America’s global military empire. More honorable volunteer defenders of our nation will die for Romney & pals’ war bankrolling profits.
My conscience has spoken, and compromise is not an option. Ron Paul r3VOLution!
